Title: Temp – Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice (Nights) Robbinsdale, MN

Description:

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides holistic, care to customers and families. The focus is on independent, collaborative and delegated nursing functions as described in standards and competencies specific to the assigned service area. The scope of practice may include the care of neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults throughout the life cycle. The RN executes the Standards of Nursing Practice including: assessment; nursing diagnosis; outcome identification; planning; implementation; and evaluation. The RN develops and revises the customer’s plan of care, coordinates care among disciplines and delegates activities to other customer care providers as appropriate. The RN participates in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices. Through active participation in practice and by implementing personal leadership qualities and skill, the RN defines, implements, and improves practice standards and the environment of care and promotes remarkable customer care.

Variation of duties may result based on the assigned customer care unit(s). This may include differences in the specific clinical skills required of the RN. Unit based skill lists outline expectations beyond the house wide RN requirements.

Job Specific Details:

This RN is to
support a Hospice On Call Team. They
will work from home unless attending an in home visit.

An average
evening/night shift would have 3 triage calls, and 1 home visit. This fluctuates depending on need.

Mileage will be
reimbursed at the federal rate***

Each shift has two
people on call. One is listed as the
primary and the other is the secondary.
When in the primary RN role, the clinician will be the first to be
notified by the call service team and will be expected to respond either
through a return call or an in person visit.
The primary RN receives regular shift pay. In the secondary RN role, the clinician will
be on call as a back-up if needed and will receive On Call pay (***/hr).

The schedule is
rotating every 2 weeks:

Week 1: M, T on, W, Th off, F, Sa, Su on

Week 2: M, T off, W,
Th on, F, Sa, Su off

Shifts are 4:30p –
8:30a with part of the shift in a primary role and part of the shift in the
secondary role. The manager has left it
flexible as far as which part of the shift is primary or secondary.

A laptop will be
provided, but the clinician must be able to use their own cell phone.
