Northern Michigan experiences harsh winter weather.
- MI based clinicians including clinicians that have worked/driven in winter weather conditions will be prioritized over those that have not experienced winter weather contracts.
AUTO OFFER potential
- MUST have completed at least ‘1’ successful travel assignment as a CNA
- No more than 5 days of RTO throughout the 13 week contract. Any RTO after acceptance may not be approved.
- 10% reduction to Bill Rate for locals with permanent residency address within 50 miles of MBMCF
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
1. Follow
established performance standards and perform duties according to nursing
service policies and procedures.
2. Provide
direct resident care including: bathing, grooming and toileting.
3. Responsible
to give tub baths, showers or bed baths to assigned residents.
4. Turn
and reposition all residents per plan of care.
Maintain range of motion on all assigned residents.
5. Obtain
resident vital signs including temperature, Blood Pressure and Pulse at the
direction of the licensed nurse.
6. Transport
residents to dining area and assist in feeding residents.
7. Use
proper body mechanics when transferring and transporting residents. Proper use
of transfer belts are required.
Mechanical lifts as indicated on the resident’s plan of care.
8. Maintain
the cleanliness of resident’s rooms, tables and nightstands. Changes bed linen
as needed and on bath days.
9. Responsible
to conduct resident rounds, as indicated on Resident’s plan of care, and before
each shift change and as needed.
10. Responsible
to respond to all call lights, and porch egresses alarm on the assigned nursing
unit.
11. Participate
in the care planning process and perform nurse-assisted duties as documented on
the resident plan of care.
12. Report
resident problems, condition changes or incidents to the Charge Nurse.
13. Document
incidents and/or unusual problems according to facility procedures.
14. Maintain
resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect;
know and comply with all Resident’s Rights rules; and promptly report all
resident accidents and injuries to charge nurse.
15. Document
in the nursing assistant electronic charting the care and treatment provided to
the resident and the resident’s response or lack of response to care provided.
16. Responsible
to observe and follow infection control and safety policies and procedures.
17. Attend
and complete scheduled in-service, Relias training courses, classes and ward
conferences as required.
18. Maintain
all certification requirements for the state of Michigan, must be current on
the state registry for CNA’s.
19. Be
available for hours of work beyond their normally scheduled shift.
20. Must
have regularly and timely attendance.
21. All
other duties as assigned

- FACILITY HAS A DOG AND CAT LIVING FULL TIME ON SITE AND BIRDS IN THE AVIARIES SO PLEASE MAKE SURE APPLICANTS ARE AWARE AND ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THIS.
