Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (18:45 – 07:15)

Description:

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years – ADULT CRITICAL CARE – Must be comfortable working alone. Critical Thinking skills are a must.
Patient Ratio Experience Required: 1:6
Traveler Experience: Unit accepts 1st time travelers. Must have strong clinical skills and be able to function alone. Critical Thinking skills are a must.

JOB DETAILS:
Ratios: 1:1 all shifts
Shift: 3×12 1845-0715
Weekend Requirement: Every other
**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: COPD, Asthma, Respiratory Failure, RSV, Cardiac

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Free-standing Emergency Department staffing one therapist per shift. EKGs

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Hamilton T1 ventilator

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, Epic, SBAR

UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 hours (first 3 shifts)

SCRUBS: Black
