Shift: Day 4×10-Hour (06:45 – 17:15)

Job Description: The RNFA practices under the direct supervision of the surgeon during the surgical intervention. The RNFA must perform only as first assistant and not concurrently as scrub nurse. Only in extreme emergencies should an RNFA be expected to assist on procedures that present an unusual hazard to life. The RNFA may perform the following technical functions: provide retraction, provide homeostasis, perform knot tying, may be requested to assist on any surgical cases where the use of an assistant surgeon is optional or where the role of the assistant is predictably limited.
Requirements:
– CA RN Licensure
– BLS (AHA)
– ACLS
– PALS
– CNOR Certification
– 3 years of experience as an RN in the OR encompassing both circulator and scrub roles
Shift: 4 x 10 Days 0645 start times
weekend rotation included
