15E James – Acute Leukemia and Hematology – 12 D/N or 12 N – CHEMO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED!!!

Experience: Must have MS oncology and at least 1 inpatient hematology oncology experience in work history and checklist. A minimum of two years of overall nursing experience is required

Patient Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: Primarily care for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
Medical unit – high number of blood products, IV antibiotics and electrolytes.
Staffing Ratios: Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5
Weekends: Variable based on unit needs
Schedule: No set/blocked scheduling

If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Special Focus:
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols
• Patient falls prevention

Certifications Required:
• BLS
• ACLS
•ONS Chemo Cert

• NIHSS
