Shift: Day 5×8-Hour (07:30 – 16:00)

Description:

IR Tech needed for Interventional Radiology procedures for both in and out patients.

***Must be competent at performed Interventional Radiology procedures and/or Cardiac Cath lab experience***

Required Certs:
BLS
ACLS
CRT – Certified Radiologic Technologist
ARRT
CA Fluro License

Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend
On Call: On Call as Needed

JOB DUTIES:
Provides high quality care to patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular, vascular and related surgical procedures. Assists radiologist and cardiologist with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic special procedures and maintains and operates equipment required to achieve the best possible radiographic diagnostic images.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Scrub Assist-
Prepares and drapes patients for procedure. Maintains sterile fields; assists physician with wire and catheter insertions, and prepares and the necessary devices or systems needed to perform the procedures
Procedural Recorder-
Records procedural information while monitoring patient hemodynamics and vital signs. Attends to patient’s needs before, during and after procedure. Attaches EKG leads, takes blood pressure, evaluates pulses; monitors as needed, and maintains necessary logs and paperwork.
X-ray System Operator-
Obtains necessary angiographic images for all radiographic procedures. Prepares x ray equipment before procedure, determines technical factors necessary for the procedure. Positions x-ray system appropriately to attain the desired images as prescribed and specified for diagnosis by physician.
Operational Support-
Maintains supplies and equipment to assure smooth operations for all vascular and cardiac cath labs; keeps labs neat and organized. Reports low inventories, equipment malfunctions, and necessary repairs to leadership
