Lead Radiologic Tech

ROLE: The Lead Technologist is responsible for the daily operations of technologists in their respective areas. In addition, this position is also responsible for assisting the Area Operations Manager in meeting and/or exceeding the established productivity standards and that policies & procedures are followed.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform and process X‐Rays and submit/transmit them for interpretation.
Unload portable x‐ray equipment and take to patient’s bedside to perform exams ordered by the physician. Must obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent x‐rays.
Must be able to obtain clinically diagnostic EKGs and transmit for interpretation.
Check, complete, and deliver paperwork related to the exam and the patients billing information; retrieve copy of face sheet and deliver paperwork to company as directed
Enter patient demographics in computer workstation and scan films and transmit them to the reading center. Resend films as directed.
Deliver films to facilities or doctor’s office when requested.
Maintain vehicle and x‐ray equipment.
Accurately record hours worked and deliver timely to manger.
Work with Area Manager to ensure proper Scheduling of Technologists to ensure proper Customer Service Levels
Conduct quarterly image reviews on fifteen (15) or more images as needed to ensure the highest quality exams are being performed. Graded feedback is provided to the technologists with ideas for improvement.
Cross training of technical staff in all applicable modalities.
Maintaining equipment and cars—spot checks to make sure cars are cleaned and well maintained.
Maintain upkeep on all DR/CR equipment. Monthly check on cords/attachments/DR plates/pre‐inspection checklist/QC programs
Provide on‐call assistance for Team – back up on call if needed
Report all concerns/information on any area client directly back to Area Operations Manager
Provide additional support to Area Operations Manager as needed

    The Radiologic Technologists may push/pull anywhere from 50 – 100 lbs. With the use of vehicle ramps and pulleys, this weight decreases. When the tech is pushing/pulling the equipment in a facility or home; however, the weight can increase. 50 lbs of force (or more) can occur 16 to 24 times a day.
