Title: Perm – Physician – Hospitalist – OB Palm Springs, CA

Description:

Seeking an additional Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist for our practice at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA.  Enjoy living where most people like to vacation!

Job Description:

  • A full-time position is approximately 7.5 24-hour in-house shifts/month = 2190 hours annually
  • Will consider someone who wants to work a minimum of approximately 5.5 24-hourshifts/month = 1560 hours annually (still benefit eligible)
  • Location is outside the city
  • 2 OB Hospitalists in-house 24/7 – never on shift alone
  • Responsibilities include delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation/management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring and ER coverage
  • MFM performs rounds and inpatient consults with high risk patients
  • Practice attends about 60 deliveries per month
  • 30-bed community Level-III NICU/newborns 23 weeks and above
  • Affiliated maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology practice support
  • 387-bed tertiary acute care facility and is the only Level I Trauma Center in Coachella Valley, serving more than 8,000 square miles of Southeastern California
  • Teaching opportunities with fellows, residents and medical students.
  • This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area.  Relocation may be required.
