MANAGER SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Linen Distribution Technician responsible for transporting and delivering linen carts throughout a multi-tower hospital. Role involves extensive walking, navigating elevators and underground tunnels, and servicing two specialty towers daily. Work includes coordinating with automated guided vehicles that deliver linen to depots, then distributing carts to assigned departments. Position requires continuous physical activity including lifting (up to 15 lbs.), bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. The role requires a reliable and dependable worker.

JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees daily management, receipt and distribution of materials (supplies, equipment and linen) for multiple departments throughout the hospital and/or network. Primary duties will include supply room and warehouse cleaning and organization, department customer service, reviewing item par levels and usage with department leadership, material ordering, receiving and stocking, assisting with manufacturer recall notifications/usage investigations. This role will also be responsible for delivery and stocking of linen items to patient floors throughout the hospital. There will be pushing/pulling of clean linen carts, condensing/organizing clean linen carts upon delivery, as well as filling open linen service tickets for patient floors needing additional linen support. Working closely with other members of the linen team to ensure workload is successfully completed daily and service levels are met. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:
Understands lean supply philosophy, performs basic analytics using Microsoft products and other tools available through supply chain management systems.
Performs material receiving functions verifying correct items, quantities, processing receipts in the inventory management computer system, tagging/labeling and staging items for delivery
Review reports, collaborate with department staff to adjust par levels, coordinate opportunities for improvement, implement and maintain the standardized community supply model.
Provides daily oversight of material functions while ensuring a safety focused environment complying with BJC, OSHA, Joint Commission standards and performs housekeeping functions in supply rooms
Processes stock and non-stock orders in the inventory management systems, coordinates with procurement to resolve order issues, discrepancies, match exceptions, recalls and returns to vendor
