Sparrow Lansing Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon for a Locum to Perm position. This role spans from April 2025 to July 2025, with an opportunity to transition to a permanent placement. The position also includes call coverage responsibilities.

Reason for Coverage: Provider FMLA
Practice Setting: Hospital coverage with ambulatory follow-up as needed
In house while performing surgery and rounding. Generally 8 hours per day. Unrestricted call for time thereafter.
Schedule: 24-hr call coverage with 8 hours of patient contact when on service at a Level I trauma center
Call Schedule: Call coverage when on service
Call Ratio: 1:4 call rotation for department

All trauma presentations to include pelvis, acetabular, and supracondylar humerus fractures. Pelvis and acetabular are required procedures.

Rates to submit:
Malpractice rate
Orientation – “must be 1/2 regular rate”
On Call Daily – “to include 8 hours onsite coverage plus night call”
Call back – “per hour of patient contact hours after 8 hours M-F”
Weekend Call Rate -***hrs Sat/Sun with 4 hours gratis
