Performs duties related to primary or specialty care physician recruitment and is responsible for representing Sutter Health and assigned medical group(s). Manages sourcing, vetting, and interviewing activities for their assigned specialties and geography. Oversees the entire recruitment cycle from start to finish. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and performs in accordance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements. Management reserves the right to revise the job description or require that other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change (for example, emergencies, staff changes, workload, or technical development).JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:• Prescreens resumes received based on predetermined qualification requirements. Forwards copies of resumes of qualified candidates to the hiring department lead. Conducts phone interview screens with candidates matching the criteria of the medical group and department. Apprises hiring department lead of interview results. Promotes benefits of working at the medical group and its quality, reputation, values and culture as requested. Educates candidate on details of surrounding community, cost of living and hiring process to set appropriate• Collects practice profile information, identifies skills, credentials and needs of the department by coordinating a recruitment strategy meeting.• Monitors candidate progress through the recruitment process and ensures pertinent information is communicated for the purpose of drafting and issuing an employment contract. Collects information on salary expectations and informs physician leaders on competitive salaries for new providers. Extends and negotiates offer letters.• Negotiates contracts with outside search firms. Keeps abreast of what agencies are charging, negotiating the best possible rates. Reviews contracts on annual basis to determine if renewal is appropriate. Tracks results from services given to recommend agencies to other affiliates throughout assigned region.• Demonstrates positive guest relations’ skills in dealing with all internal and external customers. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in all contacts with internal and external customers. Ensures confidential data or communications are handled appropriately when routed/distributed. Works with staff within the department, as well as staff from other departments, to facilitate the flow of work or communications to ensure an efficient and productive work environment. Ensures a high degree of responsiveness, both within and outside the organization.EDUCATION:Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Bachelor’s: Human Resources, Healthcare or other related field or equivalent education/experienceTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:5 years of recent relevant experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Basic knowledge of human resource principles, policies and procedures.Computer and data management skills including Excel, Word, Power Point and advanced MS Outlook skills.Must have interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Ability to multi-task and change priorities as appropriate.Written and verbal communications and customer service skills with the ability to listen well.Able to deal discreetly with confidential information, including physician salary ranges.Must be self-starter who can independently manage own projects and time.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:See required physical demands, mental components, visual activities & working conditions at the following link: Job Requirements
