Job Title: Drug Rebate SME
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote (Travel to the East Coast once a month)

Job Description:

  • Supported the transition of Medicaid Drug Rebate operations during leadership turnover to ensure continuity of financial and compliance activities.
  • Gathered, analyzed, and documented business requirements from subject matter experts for drug rebate invoicing, dispute resolution, reconciliation, and CMS reporting.
  • Participated in market research to identify vendors capable of assuming full drug rebate operational responsibilities.
  • Reviewed existing workflows, system touchpoints, reporting processes, and data dependencies to support modernization planning and process improvement.
  • Coordinated cross-functional discussions between operational teams, finance, IT, and program leadership to align rebate operations with overall Medicaid system updates.
  • Facilitated knowledge transfer activities to preserve operational continuity and reduce risk during organizational change.

Key Requirements:

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of Drug Rebate operations, including rebate processing, financial management, CMS Reporting, and dispute resolution.
  • Medicaid experience is key.
  • Must be familiar with Drug Rebate legislation and federal guidelines.
  • Understanding of the various claims associated with Drug Rebate, including pharmacy and 340B.
  • Must always be professional and presentable to the client.
  • Experience developing presentations, executive summaries, requirements documents, and research papers as needed to support project work.
