Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (18:00 – 06:30)

Description:

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Year overall experience along with blood collections in the ED, critical care units, and newborn nursery.
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Venipuncture, finger sticks, heel sticks, Pediatric finger sticks, pediatric finger and heel sticks.
Certs: BLS

Preferred Skills and Experience: NCPT, CPT, EPIC, Handheld Collection Devices

JOB DETAILS:
*36 hours can be offered.
Unit will accept contracts for 13 weeks.
Shift: 12 Hour NIGHTS, Monday-Wednesday 6pm-6:30a
***RTO: 7 days MAX***
Call Requirement: Rotating weekend call required, for 12hr shift
Float: No Float

Unit Details and Patient Diagnosis: Responsible for performing all collection procedures. Verifies patient identity and performs phlebotomy and processing services accurately and efficiently as needed. Verifies that patient and specimen information is complete and correct; accurately and efficiently inputs patient and specimen information into the computer; organizes work.

UNIT SYSTEM: EPIC

UNIT ORIENTATION: Unit orientation – 6a – 230p during first week only; weeks 2 -3 8p – 630a Mon – Thur

Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.

SCRUBS: Caribbean blue
