Unit Information:
We cover 2 ICUs, trauma care, and all other acute care units: general medical/tele, nephrology, oncology, general surgery, ortho, neuro. We typically have caseload of 15-20 patients which we triage with goal of seeing 5-6. Our team participates in daily patient progression rounds on most acute care units and twice a week in the ICUs. OTs do both functional ADL and cognitive assessments (Pillbox text, Allen, SLUMS, CAM) and provide skilled interventions to work towards DC recommendations. We also have 3 COTAs on staff who work collaboratively with the OTs.
