Title: Temp – Registered Nurse (RN) – Case Manager (Days) Golden Valley, MN

Description: The Disability & Return to Work Coordinator reports to Team Member Health and works closely with
stakeholders for optimal Stay at Work and Return to Work outcomes while ensuring compliance with
regulations and union agreements. Coordinates Disability Management and Return to Work services for
team members experiencing occupational and non-occupational illnesses or injuries, ensuring North
Memorial is compliant with Federal and State regulations as well as collective bargaining agreements
related to disability management and return to work. Has in-depth knowledge of these requirements and
successful vocational strategies, to assure team members and leaders are fully informed of their options
and responsibilities to successfully return to work the ill or injured team member. Makes independent
decisions regarding application of rules, laws and union agreements. Collaborates in the creation of
return to work policy and internal workflows to promote clear communications and expectations for both
Team Members and leaders, and ultimately maximize Team Member experience. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations related to absences and accommodations. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Return to Work principles and Privacy legislation. 
  • Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements as they relate to absences,
    disability, return to work and accommodations.
  • Ability to discern potential safety concerns (for customers or team member) related to return to
    work and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and specifically with the Absence Management Program
    Administrator to provide a seamless leave experience for Team Members. 
  • Ability to provide direction and consultation regarding disability, return to work, WC and
    accommodation decisions to leaders and other stakeholders.
