Surgical Services/Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Shift: Day 5×8-Hour (10:00 – 18:30)

Description:

Position / Specialty: Certified OR Tech
Shift: 5x8s, 10:00am – 6:30pm, No block scheduling
Call Requirements: 1 weekend on-call shift every 4 weeks, shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month
RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Cook is a MANDATORY FLOAT FACILITY, all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion.

Years of experience REQ: Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or large teaching hospital
Experience in multiple services including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Thoracic, Trauma, Oral-Maxillofacial, ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Gyne, Ortho/Plastics Hand, Plastics, Urology, Colo-Rectal, Pediatric and Adult
Certs REQ: BLS Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist in the State of Illinois through one (1) of the
following: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) OR National
Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Locals accepted: Yes – locals preferred. Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
