Position Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst III supports system-wide sourcing and master data initiatives within Sutter Health’s Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) division. This position plays a key role in driving analytics, reporting, and master data integrity to strengthen the foundation for Sutter’s future Workday implementation. The analyst partners closely with sourcing, data governance, and ERP teams to improve data quality, enhance reporting accuracy, and deliver actionable insights that support strategic supply chain decisions.

Key Focus Areas

1. Reporting & Analytics (Primary Track)

Run complex supply chain analytics and reporting to support sourcing, RFP evaluations, cost comparisons, and performance metrics.

Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Excel, Tableau, and/or Power BI.

Translate raw data from Lawson and other ERP systems into meaningful insights for decision-making.

Develop repeatable models to track sourcing effectiveness and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

2. Master Data Management (Secondary Track)

Clean, standardize, and enrich item master data, working directly with third-party data cleansing vendors and internal stakeholders.

Lead data validation and testing efforts for ERP readiness (Lawson and Workday).

Identify and resolve duplicates, incorrect attributes, and data gaps that affect downstream reporting.

Ensure data accuracy and compliance with system and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Execute a range of supply chain functions such as data analytics, purchasing support, contracting, sourcing, technical integrations, and quality assurance.

Translate management objectives into actionable project work for analysts and team contributors.

Collaborate with sourcing and system leaders to develop goals, build system standards, and audit for conformance.

Provide training and documentation to standardize data and reporting practices across facilities.

Partner with key stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, process efficiencies, and corrective actions.

Contribute to major EBS initiatives that promote an efficient, cost-effective, and data-driven supply chain process from Source-to-Settle.

Required Skills and Experience

ERP Systems: Strong experience with Lawson is required; Workday exposure preferred.

Data Tools: Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, large dataset analysis); experience with Tableau or Power BI strongly preferred.

Supply Chain Analytics: Demonstrated ability to perform data modeling, cost analysis, and reporting for sourcing or procurement functions.

Master Data Management: Understanding of item master maintenance, data cleansing, and validation processes.

Communication: Clear communicator who can translate complex data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.

Soft Skills: Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail, organizational discipline, and collaborative mindset.

Team & Structure

Works under the Supply Chain EBS umbrella, reporting to Travis and Huan.

Collaborates closely with sourcing, ERP, and data governance teams.

Role justified to alleviate workload on existing staff and prepare for Workday go-live readiness.

Additional Information

Location: Remote (preferred candidates in Pacific time zone).

Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday–Friday.

Duration: Multi-year project assignment supporting Workday transition.
